Collective Labour Agreement Of The Dutch Universities

Collective Labour Agreement Of The Dutch Universities

On 5 June 2020, the employers` organisation and the trade union reached a final agreement on the collective agreement for Dutch universities 2020. The parties agreed on a structural wage increase of 3.0% on 1 June 2020. In addition, all employees receive a gross gross payment of €750, based on a full-time employment contract. The amount of staff costs to be financed can be taken into account in the salary scales of the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (Dutch acronym VSNU). The salary scales were agreed in the scientific research funding agreement and are based on the collective agreement (caO) of Dutch universities. This is why personal development, sustainable employability and mobility of staff at Dutch universities are of the utmost importance. The text of the final collective agreement (only in Dutch) can be found here. `Sectoral Regulation on Disputes for Dutch Universities 2020 Approval of scientific research funding sets out mutual obligations for staff recruited by institutions to carry out research funded by the Netherlands Research Council (NWO, Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek). These are based on the collective agreements of the VSNU (for universities) and NFU (for academic medical centers). . . .
