The rules have direct effect, which means that, if they are precise and clear, they can be invoked by individuals directly before national courts. Union legal concepts shall be interpreted in accordance with Union law and taking into account the practice of the Court of Justice of the European Union. The Withdrawal Agreement also contains provisions obliging the United Kingdom to leave the Agreement establishing the Statute for the European Schools, with the United Kingdom being subject to an obligation for the Convention and the accompanying rules for accredited European Schools until the end of the last academic year of the transition period.dem, i.e. the end of the 2020-2021 spring semester. The earlier version of the Withdrawal Agreement was rejected three times by the House of Commons, which led to Queen Elizabeth II. accepted Theresa May`s resignation as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and appointed Boris Johnson as the new Prime Minister on 24 July 2019. The 2019 revisions also adapted elements of the political declaration, replacing the word “appropriate” with “appropriate” in relation to labour standards. .
